Big Yellow Taxi

The song ‘Big Yellow Taxi’The songwriter is against globalisation. The song states ‘They took all the trees and put em’ in a tree museum’. From this statement, it shows that the songwriter thinks that globalisation has made us take for granted our environment and what was there for everyone is now controlled and limited. The song also states ‘They paved paradise and put up a parking lot’. Which also shows that the songwriter feels that globalisation has controlled many things that used to be abundant. The songwriter is probably against globalisation as the tone of the song seems to be very sarcastic .

Escape

It has been 5 days after the escape of Mas Selamat Kastari.Security has tightened since his escape especially at the borders and entry points of Singapore. Posters of Mas Selamat Kastari have been put up on the public transports and other public areas. People everywhere in Singapore have started questioning the reliability of the security forces of Singapore. Especially since Singapore is known for its strict security. The military and police forces in Singapore are being deployed around the country to search for him. News today reported that he acted alone and is still in the country. This is contrary to general belief that he had help from outsiders and that he has probably left the country. Unfortunately, the longer this issue drags, the less hopeful people are on finding him.

Hopefully, this frightening issue will end and Mas Selamat Kastari will be found.
